Come and Enjoy The Waterfront
As St. Joseph Island’s main business centre, Richards Landing offers everything you need to make your stay a pleasant one… shopping, parks, fuel, restaurants, events and friendly folks. The Richards Landing Municipal Marina is located at the end of the main street, just a few steps from the town centre. This is a full service marina, open seven days a week during boating season with gas, shower and laundry facilities and new this year the office will be selling fishing worms.
Seasonal and transient slips in the West Basin have 30 and 50 amp power and water at dockside, shoreline boardwalk and adjoining grassy area with picnic tables which makes a great place to set up the BBQ. The East Basin offers day use slips for quick access to downtown services or for diners attending one of the local restaurants.
Boaters will find fuel, clean washrooms and private showers for their exclusive use, pump-out, launch ramp and friendly staff waiting to assist you. Looking for a shady area? Cenotaph Park with its large shade trees and paved walkways is only a few steps away. There is also a bike maintenance station available for cycling enthusiasts.
Get your refreshments and lunch and dinner Thurs.-Sun., May through September, in the restaruant or on the deck provided by Whiskey Rocks.Visit the Maker's Market on Saturday afternoons all summer long. The view of the St. Joseph Channel, marina and the bridge to the mainland make it one of the Island’s most popular refreshment stops.
Join the Boat Parade of lights on the last Friday of July at dusk as part of our Community Night celebrations. This is fundraiser for the Matthews Memorial Hospital Association.
The Marina has plenty of free parking. Our season is open from the May long weekend and runs through to the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend.
