Roads Maintenance
The Township of St. Joseph has a year-round Works team caring for our roads and infrastructure. They are based out of the works garage at 1511 10th side road.
Township Maintained Roads
The Township of St. Joseph Works Department maintains all year round roads within the township's boundaries. They do not maintain the portion of the roadway that is part of HWY 548 including the section through Richards Landing. If there is a health and safety related maintenance concern please call the office at 705-246-2625 during business hours and 705-206-3020 if it is after hours, and if it is a public safety emergency please dial 911.

MTO maintains roads associated with HWY 548 including the section of Richards Landing. If you have a maintenance concern please call their contracted maintenance company Ledcor: 1-866-453-3267

Re: Local Speed Limits
The Township of St. Joseph is updating classification and speed limits for municipal roads within the municipality. This process is being undertaken to ensure appropriate speed limits match current conditions resulting from changes in density, road surfacing and alterations, as well as feedback from residents.
A schedule showing current and proposed speed limits is available for viewing here or at the municipal office (1669 Arthur Street). Council is asking the public to submit their written comments by January 26th, 2024, to be considered at the regular Council meeting held February 7th, 2024, at 6:30.
