The Township of St. Joseph has partnered with various organizations to provide our community with social services.  Whether you are looking for seniors supports, family supports, or support for persons with disabilities these links will navigate you through the services offered in our area.

  St Joseph Island Community Food Bank - Paul Cooper 705-246-3819

Open Wednesdays from 1-3pm at the back of the St. Marks United Church in Richards Landing (Beside the Hosptial).  St. Joseph Island Community Food Bank is open to any resident requiring support.  There is no formal intake process and you do not have to call before coming. 

Food Bank is in need of donations both in goods and monetary.  Donations are accepted at the Island Market and at the United Church.  For more information please contact Paul Cooper.

  Addiction & Mental Health Services:  AA Meetings are at the United Church, back entrance Fridays at 7 pm. 

The Sault Area Hospital provides supports for both alcohol and drug dependence, including detox and treatment programs.  Matthews Memorial Hospital provides emergent care for mental health and drug overdose only referrals will be provided to the Sault Area Hospitals Crisis services and Addictions Programs for continued treatment.  For more information please visit Sault Area Hospital website.  


The Algoma District Services Administration Board (ADSAB) provides paramedic and social services to Algoma Ontario.  The following is a list of services they provide:
