Job Description:

The Township of St. Joseph is accepting applications for the part-time, on-call position(s) of Livestock Investigator and/or Weed Inspector.

Livestock Investigators are responsible for the analysis of livestock claims. The Municipality is responsible for claims wherein the livestock or poultry has been killed or injured by a dog or a wolf. The Livestock Investigator examines the claims and determines the amount to be paid to the owner of the injured/killed livestock.

The Weed Inspector is empowered to search and inspect lands and issue written orders for the destruction of noxious weeds.

  • OWDCP Investigator Training would be considered an asset
  • Previous experience with livestock and/or damage compensation required
